It was a bleak and cold day at the beach yesterday. The light was fading but the last of the watery sun on this collection of pebbles caught in a rock reminded me of a treasure chest full of gold.
The two people jumping over the rocks were having fun. The distance down from where I took this was bigger than it looks so I decided to stay put and view from above :)

---so I decided to stay put and view from above---

It's a wise decision Lyn. Not only in order to prevent getting mudded shoes, but from photographic point of view as well.

The result is that your image places everything in the right perspective. Seen and captured very well.

Thanks for this beautiful image my friend.

Regards, Cornelius.

Those pebbles doe look like Spanish doubloons lying there. Check those people out to see if they are wearing eye patches, have hooks for hands, and have parrots on their shoulders!

Lovely view with all those rocks and pebbles. Staying up there was a wise thing to do.

The perspective is perfect in this Lyn - the lighting is capturing everything at the right angle to highlight the beauty.

From all the lines of strata paralleling from bottom left to upper right it's obvious that this currently flat beach was once tipped 90° as either a cliff or part of a seabed. Geologic lift split it along these lines and tipped it over to create a new seabed. Of course all this takes millions of years (it only happens in 2 hours in the movies) for our planet to surge, heave and fold upon itself. When you know what you're looking at, strata study can be fascinating stuff. Here you've presented us science melded with beauty and fun. Cool stuff. -Nik
