The invitation for a New year's Day walk along the Kakanui beach was too hard to resist. This is about a 15 minute drive from my home.
Towards the left you may just be able to see how close the road is to the shoreline. Just a short distance in this direction the cruel sea decided to claim a bit more land and two years ago part of the road slipped into the sea.

There must be something out there under the water that produces red leaves or something that floats to shore and is left in lines on the beach by higher tidal waves. Great colors, Lyn.

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Even though I'm in the U.S and it's Jan 10th I have the windows open, it's about 60 degrees at the moment, but we have had 80+ degree all last week. I know many here are saying SHUT UP! But I want some cold weather, being that it is so awful hot here most of the year. I fear that we will have small cold snap, then back to the heat and humidity until next November! Good beach shot.
