I just grow it because it is easy care and pops up every year without fail. Apparently it has many herbal and medicinal uses as well.
"The use of the root of the herb Solomon's Seal (polygonatum biflorum or multiflorum) dates back over 3,500 years ago to the era of King Solomon. He was so impressed by the plant's diverse healing qualities that he proclaimed it a gift from God, and thus named it after himself."

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Looking online I see that these pods do open a little at the tips, into tiny flowers that look like white bells with green rims. I can see how these would be a nice addition to any garden, sort of like adding Baby's Breath to a bouquet of roses. Yours appear to be about ready to open.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
