The Ala Wai Boat Harbour, at the mouth of the Ala Wai Canal between Waikiki and downtown Honolulu.
Ala Wai translates as waterway.
There are many similarities between Hawaiian polynesian language and Maori. Wai in Maori also means water.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I really like the smoky blue tones in this Lyn and the light coming form the left.

Love the blues and reflections and the way the line of boats cuts thru the sky and water...the longer I look at it I start to think I am actually seeing the movement of the ripples...another marvelous shot, Lyn.

A veritable forest of masts, Lyn. I like harbors of this type, spoiled as I am by those New Zealand one you have submitted as well as those by "allisontaylor" in the Gulf Coast. I enjoy walking the piers and dreaming of the possibilities these craft pose, although I'll never be able to afford one. I guess I'll have to stick to kayaks.
