I sat on a low wall beside the Harbour in Honolulu and was entertained by a show of wonderful marine life so clearly visible. I have no idea what sort of fish this is. I was amazed by the colours of the fish and the clarity of the water.

It's a HBAMW-fish (Hit By A Magic Wand fish), Lyn, ☺ .
Seen and captured perfectly.

It's a Pacific Bird Wrasse (Gomphosus varius), Lyn, most likely an adult male. "Juvenile and female bird wrasses are white and gray in color with a reddish upper snout. Later in life, females undergo a sex change, becoming functional males and the color pattern changes to solid blue-green. Before the life cycle was understood, the two color forms were regarded as separate wrasse species." I saw a photo of this exact breed, a gray body with electric blue stripes and black dots, shot by a snorkel diver while up close to the fish, and their capture wasn't any clearer than yours, so kudos for spotting it and more kudos for getting an image this nice from above the surface!! I used to scuba dive in the pacific and know that it's not always an easy trick.
