My Clematis ran rampant for decades with only a trim in late summer each year. Last Autum I decided to give it a real cut back - it took hours and then as always it sulked all winter and was a little late in waking up again and I thought I had lost it.As you can see it has blossomed forth as usual and is currently a mass of sweet scented blooms.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

We have a mixture of clematis and wild grape that covers the south brick face of our house from spring through the fall, keeping our house a little cooler and providing nesting and food for the birds. Lovely flowers, these.

Lyn, when Ive been to the hairdresser/barber, I often feel relieved (literally and figuratively). If this clematis could express its feelings, think it's grateful for an equivalent haircut. In this case, however, his reward isn't money, but a re-bloom.
Lovely capture!
