I usually research any area we pass through or stop at when we go on vacations, doing so as to not miss something worth seeing and photographing. In 2001, six weeks before 9-11, we traveled from ND to Mackinac Island in Michigan, driving right by here on Highway 2 (we had started seeing signs for "fresh hot pasty's" about 30 miles prior). I love waterfalls and scenes like this but I thought I'd found most of them, and now I find I missed one by a measly 5 miles? Oy! Next trip that way, boyo. This is gorgeous and exactly how I remember Superior, like a very calm ocean view, whether it was the inclement weather on the peninsula, halfway between Duluth and the Apostle's, A golden sunset mirror at Munising, or the tropics without the palm trees at Whitefish Bay. Next trip... thanks for pointing the way, Paul.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Thanks, this is at the bottom of the walkway down to the power plant, and of course superior falls is a short walk behind that, so far I have been to 21 waterfalls around or near Lake Superior, as you know, a lot more to see...
