NOTE: THIS IMAGE IS NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE! I was sitting at the computer when a burst of thunder roared and rain started pouring. Ran to the front door and I could see blue sky way out there far away. A photographic opp would soon spring forth. Grabbed the camera gear and headed for my special sky shooting spot about 10 miles away. Got there and drove out into the field a little ways, drivers side window facing the storm....and I waited. And then...the storm was over and peace reigned once again...crickets singing, everything freshly bathed! This is a combo of three images. Please view full screen.

A lovey three photo FDR Owd Momma. As Wayon and Jessie said: "Storms Never Last." Great shot and those clouds look like they have been seeded with salt from a double barrel shotgun. Excellent work.

Three in one, and a beautiful finished bit of work! I like it a lot. Nice to be able to hop up and drive to the precise spot for the shot. I can't go fast enough on my bicycle, or put together the shots to get work like this.

Ohhh Pat! I remember those kind of days SO well!! SOmetimes it can cause a person to jump straight out of their chair!! But, the storms in LOuisiana can be such a sudden crashing downpour!
I loved how the sounded on the many tin roofs people had. I can see and feel how you felt!! And I love being spontaneous like that too. And look at the great reward you got!! Dontcha love it? I LOVE this scene, the colours, the drama, everything you got on here, but how in the world do you combine THREE images in one????? The crickets! I love that, and I miss not hearing them here. While living in the countryside, I heard them, and tiny frogs and barn owls. I miss that and don't like living in town(but one day I will move again!) Can I come visit you? hehe...verena
