NOTE: THIS IMAGE IS NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE! I went down to the Gulf Coast yesterday and find these wading birds. They are American Avocets. Check out their bills. Beautiful little bird. Need to view this one full screen.

The one on the left side is very curious about what you're doing, Momma, lol.

Wonderful clear photograph with ditto tones. Well done.

An unusual and beautiful capture Pat. Never seen these birds before with those bills like forceps!

I bet I could teach them to crochet with bills like that Owd Momma. Well, maybe not me but someone could. You used the accepted odd number of birds and the reflections are the scene stealer. Looks like gold dust in the sand.
Thanks for sharing.

Good shot Pat! Might look even better in a more strongly "postbox" format.

New birds to me - they are very elegant and you have captured 3 very different expressions - good stuff Pat :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . They look like actors, each with a given part to play for just this moment. Good that there are three. Probably couldn't direct more than that. lol Such a nice shot, Pat. They are lovely, indeed.

This is a still from "The Avocet's Guide to Fishing," a new guidebook for adolescent Avocets on the correct, step-by-step methods in scooping wee fish from the shoreline. Right? :D I like the alignment of the birds, the comp, the focus, color, reflections... heck, I like it all.
