Balanced Rock in Arches stands about 128 feet (39 m) high, with the balancing rock rising 55 feet (16.75 m) above the base. The big rock on top is the size of three school buses. According to the guidebook, it weighs as much as 1,600 full size cars! Estimated at 3,577 tons! .. that's over 7,000,000 (that's seven million, folks) US pounds! Or for everyone else in the world, over three million kilograms. Either way you look at it, that's a lot of rock being balanced.

Whoa, now that is a balanced rock indeed. Excellent capture and such wonderful colours, textures and what a sky. Make sure you don't get too close, it may come off, that would definitely hurt, ouch, lol

Interesting photo Paul. By the look of the one on the left I wouldn't want to get anywhere near it, especially to the left side of it. ...Ed

Marvelous image Paul, I think the two rocks on the right are looking at it in awe! :) It's early and my mind is working overtime, but that is what came to my mind. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Amazing details! Had to be mind blowing to see in person. I so enjoy this perspective with the skies beyond the giants formations.

They both have their merits, Paul; this one with more clouds gives a bit more depth and the other, with that brilliant blue sky, makes the color in the rocks pop. For me, I think I like the other one better.
