And what a road it is my friend, another stunning looking photo with great depth of field and truly beautiful looking colours too.I would love to ride a motor cycle down that road.
Wife was right to give you a 'reminder' and bring you back to reality. Though, with this setting in front of you.. can understand how it's easy to get lost and.. ahem ... forget what you are doing (*wink *wink).
Looks like you had to time this one just right. Overcast is one thing, but.. changing light every few seconds must have been a challenge.
I have to say I don't like the way the white line touches the left side of the frame. Just a little distracting for me. That said, In every other aspect it is absolutely wonderful. Faved.
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative. Dan Winters - Photographer.
I like how the road's upward angle to the right sort of mimics the rise in the geology. I pulled a copy off and into Photoshop, out of curiosity, and first straightened the photo using the reflector post in the middle, then ran Photoshop's ruler tool along the strata in the far buttes. This land was once flat and possible under water. It takes gargantuan energies to tilt an entire landscape 10 degrees, which is what all the stratigraphic lines here are doing. Great colors and shadows, Paul.
