The orange stems poking through the divide in a large leaf of another plant caught my eye. Found at the Lauritzen Gardens.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

You are an acute observer and this was an excellent catch. Composition and colors excel.

Having read the original H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds, where everything of note happens in England, this image reminds me of that book. The Martians bring seeds of a plant that, at first, grows at a fantastic rate, choking everything from our indigenous plants to houses and entire landscapes (come to think of it, it also does that in the most recent version). It's rather spindly, like a fern without leaves, and bright red. Sound familiar? Great contrast and I've been trying to identify it without success.
