Jeff, for me it's pretty rare to see so many coots at one spot. Think that they're participating in an American Coot convention, 😁. Just kidding of course. Fact however is that you've provided us with a very fine image!

It is a fine image, Jeff! Makes me remember all the times I trekked out to the wildlife sanctuaries to catch a glimpse of all the migratory birds. Along the Tennessee River, there are many opportunities to see so many gatherings.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
In our sloughs here in North Dakota, I often see as many as a hundred or more bobbing on the waves. For anyone not familiar with these species, you can throw a big rock at them, yodel, dance the light fantastic, fire a shotgun point-blank into their midst, sing the theme song to ^Grease^, read them a Newt Gingrich speech... literally nothing will startle them and get them to fly any further away than ten feet. They are the proverbial ^odd duck^.
