Our first hike was a seven-mile walk through Pogue Creek Canyon. The trail at this point runs along the cliff face. Scale is a bit hard to capture, but the first ledge is about 6 to 10 feet above the path.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

Tack-sharp focus with great color and light, Jeff. The fracturing of strata and individual layers are very distinct. The geologists I worked with for three decades would love your shots of this canyon... just like me. I remember you posting some photos of this trail a number of years agothey were informative but, in the last couple years or so youve really upped your game. Back then I recall asking you where this trail was located but I dont remember the answerCovid played havoc with my memorybut Im guessing either Nebraska or further east.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Pogue Creek Canyon is in Tennessee. Go northeast of Cookeville or northwest of Knoxville. You'll see a small town of Jamestown. Just north of Jamestown is Pickett State Park by the Kentucky border. Just outside of Pickett is Pogue Creek Canyon.
