While the marigolds are like exploding suns in a starlit field of green, the focus on that bee and its wings is truly remarkable. Have I asked you before what lens you are using for these macros? Is it a macro lens, a closeup filter, or a camera resolution over 24mp? Enquiring minds would like to know. Well, at least one, anyway.

I used my Samsung Galaxy 9 cellphone on this one (12mp). The temperature was a bit nippy that morning, so the bee was moving a bit sluggishly. For the ones with a blurred background, I have a Canon T3i (14mp) with a 55-250mm lens. I've learned that I can take interesting macros by standing 8 feet away and zooming in. I've mentioned to my wife that I want to upgrade, but she keeps pointing out I take nice pictures with the current equipment.
