My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I use manual mode for shots like this as well, and you should have an opportunity for another with the approaching lunar eclipse. Try using whatever lens you have that has the lowest built-in f-stop, setting your camera's f-stop as low as it will go, your ISO at 800 or less (to avoid noise), the camera setting to bulb, and, of course, a tripod with a remote cabled shutter release. Take your first shot at 10 seconds, studying what that gives you and continue shooting, increasing the exposure by a couple seconds until your captures are what you were hoping for. Unlike film cameras, digital photography allows us so much more leeway. Stay warm.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
