This is a new bloom on my Chicago Peace rosebush. So wonderful to see her pretty smiles again!! The winters are far too long! Hope you enjoy her pretty smile too. Thank you for your views and comments. Taken with my Canon A550 on manual settings as usual.

Your Canon does a great job of shooting the roses, Ace. It doesn't even blast off the petals.
It sure shines with the black background.

Looks like an organic Nautilus shell, wrapping in on itself. The light striking the thin edges of the petals really adds to the definition. I think this image is what they had in mind when they called a particular kind of rose "American Beauty."
