A tin of paint on a slab in my back garden. Just liked the pattern the paint makes.

It does remind me of a portal to another place.

My co-worker has a whole series of photos he took of the interior of old paint cans when he was doing a much-needed inventory. He didn't include the outside area or the can itself, though...just the paint. It made for some very unique abstract images. Looking at yours here, though, I really like the organic surface the can is sitting on as contrast to the paint. The extreme DOF you used is also interesting, with only the paint itself in focus. I might have been tempted to raise the DOF so everything was in focus but this is quite unique and good as well. Into my favorites and a copy on to my co-worker so he can see that someone else sees the world in a similar tilt. Thanks.

The paint resembles snake skin. I like the dof.

I concur, definitely a worthy subject for a shot or two. The textures on that paint cry out for some fractal artist to mess around with the surroundings and shift us thru the portal into some other realm.

It is not "The powerful attack the weak." it is "The fearful attack what they fear."
