Perfect composition. That's a whole heap of windmills! Was there a pond nearby? Was the farmer a collector and had them on artistic display? I'm leaning toward the latter. Wind sculptures.
Regardless, very cool!
Between you and me, even though today the landscape is filled with the ginormous, sleek, contemporary wind turbines ... I still prefer these rustic, old, clattering, work horse windmills. They each had their own unique personality and character. And they were as much a symbol of the farm life as a barn.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Water - need water! With eight wind mills up and several more on the ground, I'm not sure why so many are clustered in this one spot. However, it does make for a great photo!
I'm blowing as hard as I can over here Carol but to no avail!!!!:):) This is wonderful despite their stationary condition:):):) Love the muted tones here. Well done.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
