A round barn I found yesterday, added a little sepia to it. We don't see many of those around here. The only thing good about yesterday while I was lost in the countryside was I came across this little barn. I did make it home though after an hour wondering around.

Round barns are rare Carol and they held very few square dances in them. Excellent treatment.

The structure and architecture of these barns is so very cool, with extremes of rafter angles rarely seen in construction. An architectural historian I used to work with was so fascinated by them that he wrecked three state vehicles while out driving rural roads in my state. Driving a county gravel road and ogling a round barn, instead of watching where he was going, sent him into the ditch and then the repair shop so many times, one office Christmas gag gift for him was a toy car glued top the top of a hardhat. Any time anyone finds one, photography is an absolute must. Faved.

Exceptional work in sepia, Carol.
Think you've a special nose for finding these rare barns, and perhaps a special nose for finding your way back home too (without the use of GPS-equipment, ☺)
Very well done again!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Very nice capture! I foundthis information about these unique structures. I thought they were much older than they say they are.
