Some time ago I sent in a photo of a cupola on a barn that was in the process of being painted. They did get it done, so I thought I'd pass it along, the cupola is on the other side.
Carol, apparently the timing has been perfectly chosen for the paint job. Such a job is impossible in wintry conditions. Now the color of the newly painted barn contrasts excellently with the winter environment.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

An excellent capture of possibly a classic dairy barn, Carol, well before the long arched-roof structures. One can always identify barns meant for milk cows (at least in part) by the row of windows on the ground floor. They let in light and kept the cows busy and contented.
