This comes out of Jewel Thief, which is based on a Xaos fractal and includes a jewel based on Nathan's jewel tutorials. The layer style used in this one is from 101 Assorted Layer Style Effects by Shelby Kate Schmitz. Those and other free Photoshop layer styles can be found on About Graphics Software.

The pretty light colors really caught my eye! When I enlarged it, I could really see its beauty. Really nice designs and I love the pinks!

I strongly suggest you consider placing your image here in the current contest running.

In trying to think of a possible abstract contender for ... and perusing a list of oxymorons myself ... "icy hot" jumped out at me.

Some tweaks of your gradient and colour choice (boost the reds? perhaps? in post sweetening? ... just a thought if gradients are somewhat more restrictive in this sense ... not quite familiar with the program Xaos) with your visual offering here ... would make for an excellent entry.

And thank you for the links contained in your accompanying narrative(s). Much appreciated.

This looks great to my eyes. "Sugarspun" is quite an apt title ... just had icy hot on my mind in my own creative quest.

+favs for me ... fresh, original ... and a very pleasing design to the eyes.

Excellent work. :o)
