This is a Columbian Ground Squirrel instead of the Hoary Marmot. The Columbian is the most prominent small furry critter in Glacier, followed by the Pika and then the Marmot. No worries, though, I had mistaken the Columbian for the Pika untilI did some more research (an occupational necessity). If you click this link to a Marmot you'll quickly see the differences, the marmot being larger, plumper, with a distinctive shoulder drape of a different colored fur.
