This little boy was irresistable working on his sandcastle all morning. Could not decide color or B&W,then chose this. he filled my heart with joy and memories :)

I like the black and white for this. Also, the vignette looks good too. I remember playing in the sand on the beach when I was a kid, but I never had this much room to myself.

I think this was a very good choice, I agree that the vignetting is also a good choice. In my opinion you have presented this one superbly. =^..^=sandi

I like the B&W but I'm wondering what the color version looks like as well. Really a cute and great shot Ami! Love it!

I was an ornery little kid and the cat kept burying me in the sand Adrienne. Luckily the dog kept digging me up. Black and white makes me think of that.
Gorgeous post.

Wonderful but the little fella looks like he's built it near the waterline and it's about to be washed away..R.

Very good example that an image can say more than thousand words. Precious post Ami!

I especially like the vignetting on this one... give it that "old-photograph memory" feeling.

Beautiful shot and methinks that the B/W is a good good choice, like how you have captured the boy...all alone in his dream world...and the twinkling on the water is given this shot a magical feeling:o)

+favs for me.

What a precious photo of a boy totally involved in his fun at the beach. And the sparkles on the water are fantastic. I like the b&w actually. The whole scene is soft and lovely. Verena

Priceless B/W capture and what a cute little one playing in the sand.

This is masterful. The B/W blends the sea and sky and makes them disappear because they aren't important to the scene. All that matters are the waves, the child and the castle. Like the distance too, not too far, not close enough to intrude.
