This is an Eiffel Tower replica located at Kings Dominion theme park in Virginia. It stands about 300 feet up, and i was able to get great views for pics from up there. i took a picture on the ground too, and as u can see i fooled around to make it kinda look sepia. ~Enjoy

Hi Brandon,

If you had not given a description of what is contained in this image, I doubt that I would have ever guessed. :)

No matter how long or which way I view it, it appears as a bunch of scrap metal overgrown by a tree with nary a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower for me.

I am being honest here.....your image has no comments probably because no one wants to tell you the truth....I am because anyone who posts an image here is open for honest critiques.

It might even be that the sepia tones make it seem even older and more derelict.

This might be one of those awesome images that 'we' see with the naked eye but does not translate well through the camera lens.

I know I have had more than a few of those myself!

Please continue to shoot, experiment and post.

Don't allow this image (or my critique:) to stop your creative juices from flowing! :o)

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, there will always be someone better. Challenge not another person, but yourself. Ensure your victory lies within, so others may one day follow YOUR achievements.

I just saw it in the Lonely Images file and now that I read your post I'm wondering why, if you had taken a bunch of shots of it, you didn't submit one that actually looked like the Tower? Like Mimi, I didn't know what it was either and I had to open it full and study it before I realized that behind the tree branches i was seeing the bottom right leg and arch of the Eiffel. A good rule of thumb, when choosing an image to submit, is to ask yourself if this is an image other people will enjoy or understand. Put yourself in their shoes and imagine it's not your photo and would you want it. There are plenty of people here who submit images that get very little play for that reason and, considering your enthusiasm, we know you have the ability to create good images... just be more choosy about which ones and you'll have a lot more success.
