I do like manual focus lenses and the M42 Type appealed to me and I have had over time quite a few.. Looking on the Internet,I saw the cheap Chinese type were becoming more available to the focal length I prefer..Why not give them a try I thought..2 Lenses 85mm f1.8 and a 35mm f2.0 for the grand total of �129.68,I wasn't expecting much..I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at their output..On a demanding 42Mpx sensor they both performed beyond my expectations..For the price I have no complaints...R.

Richie, when I look at the Chinese sites, it's indeed 'good value for your money' material.
Nevertheless, the purchase is often an obstacle for me, because in my small country not only the postman comes to deliver the goods, but the customs send me a bill too. The import duties are so high that in the end people pay the same price as for more reputable brands.
In that respect, you're a lucky man, 😁 !

Yep, you have great detail and depth of field here, Richie. What camera are you using that affords you 42mp? I thought I was doing fine with my 24mp Canon EOS Rebel t7i. That 42mp, however, explains your outstanding bird photography.
