This is a landscape that I took near Republic Ks. A town from what I seen is near dead. I did eat at the Republic oil cafe. You could eat, get oil delivered or buy groceries. The owner I guess believed in diversification. But as you can see the area is beautiful. That day was very cool and rainy but I did manage a few good shots. I do hope you all enjoy this and please view it in full screen to see the details of the capture.

Like to agree with you Billy, Republic may be near dead, but the landscape is beautiful. Love the threathening sky in this too.

Billy - A beautiful landscape that has some ominous looking clouds above! The one-stop-shop is rapidly becoming a piece of history. There is something unique about sitting at the counter of a small country store, ordering some food, while turning to see the groceries, fishing gear, snow shovels, vegetable seeds and other eclectic merchandise on shelves, with the auto repair bays only a few feet beyond. Some real nice color saturation in this shot. Thad

Great shot with some very rich colors. I have a hard time getting this type of saturation on over cast days.
