The trees appear to be dancing Shads. If a tree does the Tango in the forest and no one sees it, is it actually the tango or is it perhaps the Limbo. Inquiring minds want to know.

John - This is a very different treatment of a woods scene, leaving the imagination to wonder what is happening. Art should provoke thought and /or emotion - you have done that here. Thad

Actually caught your image here, bookmarked it (hey, I'm a busy guy :oP) ... and came back now to place some words.
Looked at this one for a while. Let it all sink in, kind of thing.
The colour palette intrigued me to no end.
The shapes/silhouettes ... added to that initial intrigue.
Caveats?
This just might rest with me, however forging ahead ... and without the benefit of having been there ... might have been tempted to ever so slightly shift camera position to the left (this perspective). Effectively moving the dominant silhouette of the larger tree ... offset more to the right. Just a tad, mind you.
Or, if at all possible ... cropping off an eighth off of the right to accomplish offsetting the main tree as per the above suggestion.
That said ... I really enjoy this visual offering from you, John.
Very polished final presentation to us, your viewers. Good balance achieved on the colour fronts ... not overly saturated, or out of the realm of possibility ... despite the surreal palette within frame.
+favs for me.
Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)
p.s. I have probably not done your image here justice with my words above ... it is, simply put, 'one of those' that resonates with me. :o)
"There is always something waiting at the end of the road ... if you're not willing to see what it is ... you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place."
An image/manip is good when it tells more as thousands words without any narrative. To me an image/manip is goods as well when it's capable to create a certain atmosphere, and your manip does John. It even makes me even somewhat nervous, because I expect that any time a ghost will appear from behind my screen, lol.
Great manip!
Regards, Cornelius.
