Taken at the Bellamy Park in Flushing. Probably this band was exercising for other performances in the year of 'de Ruyter' (please see the narrative at my Flushing (2), Michiel' image).
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Nice capture Cornelius! ....and don't they look smart. I love brass bands - my sons played the Tuba and the Euphonium when they were at school and I loved to go and listen to their bands!

Interesting that the percussion is out front. My son and I both spend time in marching bands and here in the U.S. the percussion is nearer the back end. This group looks very sharp with their red trim on black and tassels (which I notice are mostly on the taller musicians, the shorter ones wearing berets?).
