The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

A lovely countryside scene very well captured well composed and presented. The single cow adds just the right touch to this scene.

So pretty - a wonderful shot Cornelius.
I also like the cow grazing there - perhaps someones 'house cow' called Daisy :)

The cow would not be seen in a NZ scene as they are 'supposed' to be fenced a certain distance from rivers lakes etc. I dont think anyway that we would see just one cow on its own here either - dairy farming is very intensive.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This would make a beautiful oil painting Mr. C. - lovely colors and a wonderful softness.

If this is typical I'm guessing the ratio of small boats to the general population there must be quite high, not because a lot of the country is below sea level but because of all these canals. If we ever visited there, I'm certain we'd find a way to paddle half the time.
