The Zeeland draft horses foundation has organized in the summer of 2017 a scenic countryside ride on the peninsula South-Beveland, Zeeland, The Netherlands, with ten authentic/antique carriages pulled by draft horses. Some of the 'passengers' were wearing traditional costumes.

Here's an impression in B&W of this event. It's my weekly entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

If this one had a sepia application to it I'd swear it was one of Rob's U.S. Library of Congress photos, and the subject matter, the costumes, and the dirt road could place it in the second half of the 1800's, an acceptable time frame for early cameras. A good one for Lyn's challenge, I'd say.

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
