This is my weekly Foofy Friday image. It's my 48th 'Dahlia Show' image.

On August 28th, 2017 I got the opportunity again to shoot Dahlia images in the gardens of a Dahlia grower family on the peninsula South-Beveland, Zeeland, The Netherlands. This image was taken then.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Great colors and the lighter flower box in the darker area works beautifully Mr. C.

It's so sharp and bright and spreading... it literally looks like it's going to open what looks like jaws and eat something alive. I never knew a flower could actually look threatening... (hmmmm... what exactly was in that mixed drink, anyway?). An absolute stunner of a foof capture, great underlapped bokeh treatment, and very well executed bordering. Two thumbs up, five stars, and a bottle of La Trappe Quadrupel with a side order of Krokets for you, C.
