I saw this scene at the end of one of my photo shoots at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

Because of the starboard and port buoy along the drive way, I thought that this could be an elderly home for old salts like me, ☺ , but I saw no one outside to ask about that. Because I was on a hurry, it's still a question to me.

Because I was told that I've still some seawater in my veins (☺), a tad manic situation to me, so it's my Manic Monday entry for this week.

Rich colors that pop in the sun and against the blue sky - it would make sense to use this in a living arangement for retired mariners.

I nearly made a mistake once while leaving a port in the U.S. because it was a single green buoy marking a reef. U.S. is the only country in the world where Green is on the right while leaving the port and not while entering. Nice colorful shot with good details Cornelius.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Land locked buoys - invoking pure nostalgia !
Crystal clear and great composition and those colours really pop from the screen

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

My first thought was "It's Christmas!", but reading your narrative, I think you're probably right, and, since the red buoy is on the left as seen from the road (I'm guessing that's the road on the far right side of your photo), the ship's alignment would be as seen from the road: Red = Port = Left and Green = Starboard = Right. They certainly do make for a brightly-colored submission, C.
