This capture is taken at the Vrijdagmarkt in Ghent, Belgium. It's a common use that every Friday morning the square is filled with market stalls. This tradition dates back to 1199. This image is taken on a Saturday afternoon however, but one can see that there are still market stalls here.
On a prominent place on this Vrijdagmarkt the statue of Jacob van Artevelde, also known as The Wise Man and the Brewer of Ghent is situated.
