Depicted is a part of the Grote Markt (Tall Market Square) in Leuven, Belgium.
The square in this form has existed since the 14th century. The town hall, the church of St. Peter, and some of Leuven's guild houses are situated there, but they're 'somewhat' younger.
On this square one can find many pubs, taverns, and all kind of other catering establishments as well.
On this on May 14th, 2022 taken picture you can possibly see a part of the visitors of the latter facilities.

Although I live in Belgium,I've never seen Leuven as thoroughly as you did.Could be published in a tourist guide.Well done,Cornelius.

The Hall at Leuven looks to be a popular square to tour and enjoy the awe-inspiring historic architecture that Belgium has to offer - Great Capture Cornelius!!!!!!!

I believe that is St. Peter's Church, left side of picture. I marvel at the statures on the building. As a matter of fact, marvel at everything in Grote Mark. What a treasure you have.

Other than the two women in the center, facing your camera, C., everyone here appears happy and completely satisfied with the market and the fantastic environment in which they find themselves. Perhaps those two thought that *Tall Market Square* meant that it was a clothing market for big and/or tall people, and they had to come away with only a couple pints for each of them, instead of some new spandex outfits? One can only imagine (and I have the annoying habit of constantly doing so).
