Wow they would have known of it if it hit. This is a spectacular shot and great detail and focus and composition is spot on. Love the colours in the ship and a very unique photo well done.
Was smiling somewhat about your title Tanju. Think however, on the one hand, that no one on the navigation bridge of both ships has become nervous, because the, by navigational aids like radar and GPS calculated, Closest Point to Approach (CPA) is very well known by the responsible captains and mates.
Like to say, on the other hand, that you've captured a great image. The impressive and wonderful background adds a lot to it.
Very well done.
Regards, Cornelius.
It would be very bad if they hit each other. I mean, bad for the little one. I love the big ship, I'd like to sail with a ship like that. Very good photo, Tanju.
Tanju - I am as fascinated by the mountainside as the ships. While in New York City several years ago, we were taking the Staten Island Ferry to Manhattan, when the ferry changed course quickly and came to a near stop. Looking to the other side of the ferry from here we were, there was a large cruise ship leaving its port. Similar to your photo, given the difference in size, the ferry was much more maneuverable; the behemoth cruise ship might have grounded itself on the mainland given the large turning radius. You captured this scene very well. Thad
Wow! Fantastic and creative "oops!" photo, Tanju! very nice! Good job!
