Very nice photo. Composition is already beautiful with pink clouds and lightening but actually perfect composition with clouds and ship (together). Nice!!
Tanju - The lighting on the clouds is very pretty, with resulting reflections that are as beautiful. The angle of the clouds gives the look of the clouds being smoke from the ship's stack. Nicely done! Thad

This is a deceptively simple photo - although well composed and well coloured it is the serene atmosphere captured that makes it a stand-out image. Nice work indeed :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Woooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwssssssssssss! FANTASTIC composition, Tanju! Love it! The lighting and the pink clouds are marvellous! Wonderful job, congratulations my friend!
The landform on the far right, the slanting clouds, and even the deeper blue in the sky all seem to be trailing downward toward the stern of the ship, as though all those elements were the ship's tail. A photograph that inspires one to think and see more than the initial view is more than just a photo... it's a story. Part of the story, anyway. Now I'm thinking about the people manning that "tiny" ship out on that vast expanse of water, comparing them to the men who died on our Lake Superior in 1975. The 731-foot-long "Edmond Fitzgerald" was a ship similar to this one, and sank during a storm killing all 29 aboard. These may be giant craft but look at how tiny it appears against all that water. It takes individuals of courage and faith to do a job like this. Thanks for sharing it, Tanju.
