I drove through Utah when I got out of the Navy, returning to the northern plains from California. I sure didn't get to see anything like this on the way, though. Another place to add to my eventual (some day) southwest U.S. vacation (see Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Pueblo Bonito, the Arches, etc.). Gorgeous! And having some character in the sky was a real bonus for the shot.
