While taking a Sunday drive across the high desert, I brought my new drone with me. I hadn't used it in a long while and since it's still fairly new to me, I had forgotten some of the things I had previously learned about filming with it, as this video bluntly shows. This isn't a meteor crater. Check the video through to the end to find out how it was created. Rural Lakeview County, Oregon, USA.

Super video Ted. I enjoyed it very much. It looks like you controlled the drone very well. I particularly liked seeing all the paths made by critters to get water. Anyway, I think that is what they are. I would like a drone but not sure if I could control it.
Thanks for the info and a great photo.

I see nothing wrong with this pic. or the video for that matter. I think a drone would not be a safe bet for me to use. Lol! I love the sky in this capture, and such good depth. tigs=^..^=

Since I don't see any ejecta in your photo or the video, I figured right away it wasn't from a meteor strike. Tycho Crater is that very large, bright spot near the bottom of the moon (see here), and this close view of it shows material that has been flung out from the strike... ejecta. Very interesting place and description, Ted. I'd love to see it in real time. Maybe...
