I was visiting La Jolla, Ca. a few years ago and found this scene with the fog rolling in off of the Pacific Ocean. The upper layer of clouds made this image even more dramatic. Within a few minutes we were surrounded by fog and the visibility was very low. THIS IMAGE IS COPYRIGHTED AND NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE!

You sure bring it to us perfectly every time. Russ, perfect composition, outstanding and different sky for sure. Beautifully done. The details of the homes, and trees, and the person on the beach have almost a surreal feel. Excellent! tigs=^..^=

Great composition, colours and clarity here. Never seen fog "arms" stretching upwards this way. Excellent image.

A beautiful and interesting fog bank. Looks like the surfers are going to have to wait it out. Fantastico, Russ.

Love the contrast of colours as they subtly change down the height of the photo. Definitely worthy of a desktop wallpaper.

I don't think I've ever seen clouds with filaments reaching upward like that. Very interesting. Gorgeous view with wonderful color contrasts and details!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Wowsie Russ, this is Breath taking, absolutely love the composition and that sky, perfectly timed. Looks like the clouds are coming from the centre of the clouds beyond. Right into my favs and downloaded, making a puzzle for my computer. Brilliant post

I love clouds and weird weather, remembering waiting for a hailstorm as a kid, then as it started, running to sit in the metal shed so I could hear the ice smacking into the walls and roof. This image of your is stunning, not just in terms of the weather anomaly but in the capture itself, it's technical and aesthetic qualities--great color and exposure, and even the guy on the beach whose attention is on the same scene. Fantastic photograph, Russ. Diggin' it, favin' it. Thanks for making it available for our monitors.
