Took this image last Feb at the 2014 Festival of Stars skating competition which is in our city Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario each year.

Her mother gave me permission to use this to upload. Her family and ours have been friends for years, so we've watched her talent grow as the years go by.

Erica is doing the Sit Spin which has different variations of the leg but the skaters bum has to be at least parallel to the ice surface or lower in order for it to be classified a proper Sit Spin.

Brought out more detail with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 the used iPiccy to bring it down in size.

I was thinking this might be a contender for the contest, but let me know please which one you like. Here's the other one from yesterdays post: Big Splash. Which do you like better, I think I know which one I like but let me know your choice.

This one is excellent because of the clarity when you know she is moving fast. Her look of concentration is an extra bonus.

Pat, If you call in advance the hospital to ask if they put a bed ready for me, I'll do an attempt to perform a 'sit spin' as well, lol.

This would also be a good entry Pat but I think the action is more visible on your first post of your grandson due to action of the water. That being said it looks like this young lady does an excellent sit spin and well captured by you.

Definitely use this one for the contest. Anyone can make a slash in enough water, but this view requires dedication, hard work, and skill. And since this has been your vocation for so long you know precisely when and what to shoot to capture the essence of the art. Go for it, Pat!
