Here is this scary looking fellow called: Dimetrodon Reptile" at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller Alberta.

What an amazing time to see the actual skeletons of these huge fellow with the great painting behind them showing what they looked like & the surroundings they lived in.

Captured this on May 07, 2016 (Saturday) while walking through this fabulous museum and surrounding area.

Only thing I did was bring out more detail in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and then using iPiccy.com to bring it down in size.

Hope you enjoy and thank you very much for your comments in advance.

Have a fabulous day, ♥ Skates

Thanks to Nik for giving more very interesting information on this amazing huge reptile.

Another great photo, Pat, but I think I may be bursting your bubble when I tell you that Dimetrodon wasn't a dinosaur. It's mistaken for a dinosaur more often than any other prehistoric reptile--but the fact is that this creature lived tens of millions of years before the first dinosaurs had even evolved, 295 to 272 mya (million years ago). The first dinosaurs appeared about 40-42 million years later. They were distinguished from reptiles because of the way they walked and the shape of their pelvis, what paleontologists today refer to as "bird-hipped".

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

So from what Nik has written this is even much much older than the dinos and that is very impressive - and so is your photo also Pat.

These things always makes me stop and think about who we are, where we came from, and how we fit into this universe, and who else occupies it.
