Here we are on the way to Banff & Lake Louise Alberta on Hwy 1, to enjoy a gorgeous day of hiking and of course taking pictures. Just had to stop and capture this beautiful scene, of course I'm the driver.

Only thing I did was bring our more detail in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and used iPiccy.com to bring it down in size.

Hope you enjoy our day in the Rockies, they sure are breath taking and the air is so fresh and cool.

Thank you for your patience and comments in advance. I'll try and comment today.

Have a wonderful day, ♥ Skates

So many different colors on that mountain! Unusual sight and a very good capture of it.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

My late husband visited the area, and the photos he took made me really want to see it in person. Maybe some day. An awesome shot!

Beautiful. A little soft on my screen but still beautiful. When shooting with automatic focus, Pat, half-press the shutter button to hear the beep when it's ready but don't look through the viewfinder. Instead watch what your lens barrel is doing. Keep half-pressing to see if the barrel rotates a lot or a little. if it's just a little over three tries then you know it's as close to the best focus you're likely to get. Then shoot. And don't neglect your white balances; make sure you've selected the right one for the current light and, if you're not sure, try a couple different ones. With digital cameras you can shoot like a wild woman (but only your husband knows for sure about that) and not worry about running out of film. Experiment, experiment.
