We were further along our early morning walk (2017, 10-17) between Winfield & Foley Missouri along the Mississippi when this smaller tug and only 2 barges attached went by. He's heading south down toward the Lock & Dam 25.

Hope you have enjoyed the view and thanks in advance for your comments.

Have a fabulous weekend, ♥ Skates

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Those are two very long barges that the tug is pushing. Nice capture wiih the blue water and the green shore.

That river is full of history and very valuable to our nations commerce. Lots of things are shipped up and down that river. I wonder what is being hauled on these barges. Maybe some mineral ore, or some agricultural stuff. Great shot Pat and I hope your journey is pleasant and informative.

Your pano treatment is just the right style to use here, Pat, giving the perfect emphasis to the barges and shoreline. I notice the buoy near the middle of the photo, helping guide the barge past underwater hazards.

Pat, this is a view of specialized barge traffic with a wonderful background that can seen on the rivers in my country as well, with one exception however: the wonderful fall colors of the trees along this mighty river can't be seen. They give your image a very special touch.
Well done per usual!
