First if you look at this image in full, I will show you where I went too capture this image Early Morning Walk. Now look way down where the evergreens come down towards the lake before the rocky part of the mountain near the sunshine, that is where I was.

Finally I am in Calgary after a 8 hour drive, roads were good but boy am I am very tired and have a early flight back to home.

Thank you for stopping by and comments are most welcomed. Hope you have enjoyed the view.

Have a Great Day, ♥ Skates

That round shape just below the peak in the center is called the Devils Thumb, the peak above it, Mount Whyte. The peak to the right of Whyte is distant Narao Peak and the cloud dusted one on the far right is Mount Niblock. blocked somewhat by clouds on the left, at the southwest end of the valley that forms Lake Louise are Mounts Victoria, Collier and Popes, out where Alberta bumps up against British Columbia. For scale, the beach at that low dip, on the far left, is 4/10ths mile from that point at the bottom right where the treeline curves down to touch the frame. But this capture of mountains, forest, and clouds sliding through is the Rockies at their purest. I saw similar scenes in Glacier, only with less snow. Another beauty, Pat.

You wore me out following you on your walk Skates. The scenery made it worthwhile.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Impressive and beautiful image in particular when viewed at full screen size, Pat. The unspoiled character of the scene has enhanced its attractiveness! Thanks for sharing this beauty with us, my friend.
I like to say thanks to 'Nik' as well because of his additional and very interesting information!

No wonder that it was a long walk through the dee snow. Another good shot showing where you had your "pleasant walk".

I looked and looked but I still didn't see you in there. You must have been hiding behind one of those evergreens. That's an awesome spectacle. The scenery is beautiful but looks rather chilly.
