One of the many Jackrabbits that come into the yard almost every day , but I don't just wait for them, other things to do. I was standing outside on the back deck and he sure was watching me closely & was only around 3meters/10ft away.
Jackrabbits The word jackrabbit comes from a book by Mark Twain, in which he describes the creature as a jackass rabbit, on account of the hare's ears looking as though they belonged to a donkey. Later on this term was shortened to jackrabbit.

When fear comes to me I will stubbornly choose Faith Instead!!!!
I remember running across them on our Northern Plains as a boy, out deer hunting. They'd take off and at the time I hadn't seen anything quite that fast. Just a brown whoosh between leaps.
