Savannah, Georgia, USA. Behind the large Live Oak is this antebellum home with its elegant window and door treatments and wrought iron balustrade on the porches. The two entrances indicate the home was expanded to accommodate a daughter and her newly wed - one way to keep the family close. Enjoy!

I love that sprawling oak in front of the house and the natural frame it and the bushes create. Beautiful photo.

I love the tree and the peek of the grand home behind Thad. A good post despite an uncooperative sky. Your knowledge of architecture is showing.

Thad, my first impression was the house (and it is grand), but then the tree and shrubs took me over and became my focus. Two pictures in one!

Very nice place and shot Thad. Am I wrong or is it a bit right leaned? Or an objective effect?

The presence of the live oak adds an air of mystery to this fine piece of architecture, Thad.

Although It's a great house I wouldn't have prefered my (merried) child living that near to me. Think there are other ways to keep a family 'close', lol.
Very fine shot thoug, Thad.

Hi, Thad…

The shot would have been so much better if that was a power pole instead of the live oak LOL. That is one large home. I wouldn’t want to try to handle the upkeep on it. There are beautiful colors in the lush grounds, but the paint seems to be shifting from yellow to salmon as the eye moves from right to left. And I’m stunned to see another home within 10 feet. I thought 5-foot side yard setbacks were only a bad idea gone horribly wrong in California.
