Mount Desert Island, Maine, USA (Acadia National Park). From atop Flying Mountain, a short climb to 248 ft (87m), this is the view of Eastern and Western Way leading to the Atlantic Ocean, with Greening, Sutton and Cranberry Islands. For this view, you stand on exposed bed rock that has deep scores created by the glacial retreat some 13,000 years ago. Enjoy the view!

A real beautiful view! I really like that sky with those big puffy clouds. It really sets off the feel and look to the whole image.

That a great wide angle shot Thad. I like the islands and the sailboats in the background. Looks like one could walk right off into the treetops. Good post.

Thad....

Great landscape shot. That looks like some dense vegetation in those forests. Wondrous stuff starting with that great sky and those lovely clouds. The entire composition whispers, "Beautiful".

All this needs are a few tourists, and you'd have a perfect 10. Oh, don't tell me...they've become one with the trees. :-).

A great looking scene Thad and a wonderful view. Love the big blue sky and depth in the scene. Nice textures in the rocks and lovely colours. Very nicely done.

And a beautiful view it is. I'd like to be out in one of those sail boats, under that big beautiful sky, just lazing the day away. Fantastic shot, Thad.
