For Cornelius - may he regain his health. Sending prayers and good thoughts his way. When it's hot, trumpet vines grow exponentially and blooms abound. With them, hummingbirds come by regularly.
THAAAAAT is what they are called! They cover the entire south side of my house but I have been confused as to their identity for a long time. By this time in July there are only a few blooms left, but this is the only spot where I have seen Spring hummingbirds. Your capture, Thad, is far sharper in focus than any of mine. The shots I did take were always in good weather. I never thought to catch them when they are wet, from rain or watering, and overcast instead of bright sun. Every technical aspect of photography is well represented here. Great job and a fave from me.
