A late summer - fall flower, sedum dries on their hardy stems and holds on through the winter. We leave them for the seeds of which some birds partake. Cut back in the spring, the flowers start anew - the cycle of the seasons.

They are beautiful anytime of year, but I like them in full bloom. Nice capture.

I know sedum is hardy but winter hardy is impressive - a nice winter shot.

At -10 degrees, with the wind blowing snow sideways, this must looks like a banquet for the House Sparrow or confused Robin.
